Adaptive High Light for Voltz EVS to Open Automatic Gate (DIY)

 This article help you to create a little project to active your remote control. This control can open your home gate and any others.

Let's getting start!

Components list:

1 Resistor with 1/4W (0,25W) with 1K ohm (Brown-Black-Red)


1 Electrolytic Capacitor with 470uF and 16V. Greater voltage is accepted, but more bigger.


1 Mini Relay 12V







12V comes from switch that enables hight light (Pulse).
N/C is Not Connected.
Enable Control is a 12V pulse to switch control (when this control enable by Vcc Pulse)

How Stuff Works:
When 12V came from hight light switch, the 470uF electrolytic capacitor is a short-cut. So in the first time, the Relay will be enabled. About 1 secound, is enough time to pulse the control switch and open relay again. Constant current to remote control can burns it. So, this "timer" is really necessary. This technic is a automatic reset for relay. When hight light is released, no reverse current coming from relay inductor, because capacitor feed the inductor with your current, losing energy quickly, drained by inductor and resistor.
 Important: When the high light is enable at the full time, the resistor drains about 15mA. But only when high light is enabled.
The control used in my prototype was a Peccinin with a variable token generator.
